Our school day incorporates ‘Period 7’, an allocated time for enrichment and additional activities. Students are encouraged to take part in extra-curricular activities after school.
We offer a wide programme of both sporting and academic clubs: all are welcome. Team sports include football, rugby and netball clubs which are run during and after Enrichment on Wednesday afternoons, with regular matches played against local schools. We also run badminton and table tennis clubs to cater for those who wish to get involved but perhaps not on a competitive basis.
Academically, we have 'Dolly Club' where students can work 9-5 in the Study Room, extra lesson catch up and interventions as well as Science Forum Club, Model United Nations and Young Enterprise.
There are also ad-hoc sports events for fun such as our legendary Sports Days, Staff vs Students matches and pool tournaments in the Common Room to support raising money for charity.
We also have a wonderful music department with recording studios and practice rooms, where many of our Sixth Form students spend after school composing music and playing a wide range of instruments.
